Годы воцарения Аллы Борисовны на советском эстрадном троне совпали с экономическим застоем 1970-х. Это было время, когда дряхлеющий Советский колосс, готовый вот-вот рухнуть в бездну небытия, доживал свои последние десятилетия. Предчувствие неминуемых перемен уже тогда витало в воздухе, и наиболее прозорливые предсказывали конец эпохи. Небывалая популярность, шум, который произвела своим появлением Пугачёва, был одной из первых ласточек надвигающихся перестроечных времён, перевернувших все представления об идеалах и ценностях. Хорошо ли это? Ход истории неумолим, если нам этого даже не хочется. Пугачёва взяла на себя такую смелость сказать громко то, о чем не решались вслух другие. Не просто вышла на сцену петь красивым певческим голосом, а в буквальном смысле ворвалась бунтовать и провозглашать символы нового десятилетия — переломных 1980-х гг. И это было подхвачено массами. Не думаю, что сама Алла Борисовна ожидала такого эффекта своим появлением, но быстро подхватила «нерв времени» и не отпускает его уже больше сорока с лишним лет. Эта пугачёвская актуальность, вызов делают её интересной сегодня, когда уже и голос не тот, и внешность не та, обезображенная пластикой до полной неузнаваемости и даже кукольности.  Но народ благодарен ей и ещё долго будет любить за тот бунт, который она устроила, встряхнув страну от длительной спячки, выразив глубокие, скрытые надежды людей на грядущие перемены и веру в лучшее завтра. Появление таких артистов, как Пугачёва, открыло новую страницу не только в музыке, но и в других сферах, не связанных с музыкой напрямую. Причём сделал она это блестяще. Гораздо лучше других, талантливее, сильнее и убедительней. Голос? Но разве только в нём было дело? И да, и нет. 

Бунт Пугачёвой продолжается. Зачем что-то менять, если народ и так её любит как явление русской культуры, символ долгожданных перемен и боевое знамя одновременно. Поэтому готов носить на руках певицу хоть до самой смерти. Несколько смешны те, кто пытается пристроиться ближе к царствующей особе, напоминая собой шутов при дворе монарха.

She did not just go on stage to sing in a beautiful singing voice, but literally burst into rebellion and proclaim the symbols of the new decade - the turning point of the 1980s. And this was taken up by the masses. I do not think that Alla Borisovna herself expected such an effect with her appearance, but she quickly picked up the "nerve of time" and has not let go of it for more than forty years. This Pugachev's relevance and challenge make it interesting today, when the voice is not the same, and the appearance is not the same, disfigured by plasticity to the point of being completely unrecognizable and even puppet. But the people are grateful to her and will love her for a long time for the rebellion that she staged, shaking the country from a long hibernation, expressing the deep, hidden hopes of people for future changes and faith in a better tomorrow. The emergence of artists such as Pugachev opened a new page not only in music, but also in other areas not directly related to music. And she did it brilliantly. Much better than others, more talented, stronger and more convincing. Vote? But was it just him? Yes and no.

The Pugacheva revolt continues. Why change something if the people already love it as a phenomenon of Russian culture, a symbol of long-awaited changes and a battle banner at the same time. Therefore, I am ready to carry the singer in my arms even until her death. Somewhat ridiculous are those who try to settle closer to the reigning person, reminding themselves of jesters at the court of the monarch.
